Avenyora’s numerology calculator is a deterministic symbolic tool, not a scientific personality test, diagnosis, or forecast. These implemented rules let you reproduce a Life Path, name number, or current cycle by hand, compare conventions, and decide whether a reflection is useful.

The reduction function
Avenyora first checks whether a total is 11, 22, or 33 and returns it unchanged. Any other multi-digit value becomes the sum of its decimal digits, and the check repeats. Thus 28 becomes 10 and then 1, while 29 becomes 11 and stops. Life Path applies this function after adding every birth-date digit. For 1991-04-04: 1 + 9 + 9 + 1 + 0 + 4 + 0 + 4 = 28 → 10 → 1. Month, day, and year are not reduced separately, and formatting characters contribute nothing.
The A–Z name table and Y convention
Names become uppercase and characters outside A–Z are discarded. Values cycle in nine groups: A/J/S = 1; B/K/T = 2; C/L/U = 3; D/M/V = 4; E/N/W = 5; F/O/X = 6; G/P/Y = 7; H/Q/Z = 8; I/R = 9. Destiny adds all letters. Soul Urge adds A, E, I, O, U, and Y; Y is always a vowel here. Personality adds the rest. For LYN, L=3, Y=7, and N=5: Destiny is 15 → 6, Soul Urge is 7, and Personality is 3 + 5 = 8. Spelling changes can change the result; that is a convention, not a discovery about the person.
Zero means the selected letter group is empty
When a name has no letters in a selected group, the sum is 0. Avenyora labels it No matching letters, offers no symbolic theme, and does not infer a missing quality. With AEI, all retained letters are vowels. Destiny is 1 + 5 + 9 = 15 → 6, Soul Urge is 6, and Personality is 0 because this convention finds no consonants. Accents, punctuation, spaces, digits, and non-Latin scripts receive no values. That limitation matters when A–Z filtering cannot faithfully represent someone’s ordinary name.
Personal year and month use UTC
Personal year adds the birth month, birth day, and each digit of the current UTC year, then reduces. Personal month adds that result to the current UTC month and reduces again; the twelve displayed values add 1 through 12 to the personal year. On 2026-09-05 UTC, a 1990-12-29 birth date has personal year 12 + 29 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 51 → 6, and September personal month 6 + 9 = 15 → 6. Near a UTC boundary, the cycle may change on a different local date. This is a calendar convention, not an astronomical event.
Where the symbolism comes from—and what it cannot establish
Number symbolism has many branches, and authors use different tables and reductions. Two digitized primary texts provide period context: L. Dow Balliett’s 1908 The Philosophy of Numbers and Ariel Yvon Taylor’s 1926 Numerology Made Plain at the Library of Congress. They document early twentieth-century claims and practices; they do not prove those claims, establish one universal method, or show that ancient people used Avenyora’s modern Life Path procedure. Avenyora’s specification is the arithmetic stated here and shown beside a result. Treat interpretations as optional prompts, and rely on evidence and qualified expertise for consequential choices.

Does Avenyora reduce month, day, and year separately?
No. It strips non-digits from the full birth date, adds every remaining digit in one total, and then reduces that total while preserving 11, 22, and 33.
Which spelling should I use for a name number?
Use the spelling you intentionally want to explore, knowing that only A–Z is counted. A legal name, chosen name, or transliteration may yield different symbolic results; none is an objective identity test.
Why does Avenyora always count Y as a vowel?
That is the calculator’s fixed convention for a reproducible Soul Urge and Personality split. It does not attempt to infer pronunciation, language, or syllable role from the name.
What happens when a name has no vowels or no consonants?
The relevant sum is 0 and receives no interpretation. The result describes an empty group after A–Z filtering, not the presence or absence of any human quality.
Are current cycles calculated in my local timezone?
No. The current year and month come from UTC. Around a local calendar boundary, check the displayed UTC-based period before comparing the result with another calculator.
