A deck with a documented history
Tarot cards have a history as playing cards before their later divinatory uses. The Metropolitan Museum of Art's account discusses early Italian decks and their structure. The wording used in Avenyora is a contemporary reflective interpretation. It is not presented as a quotation from an ancient authority, nor as a single meaning that every reader must accept. The imagery and card names can be evocative while their practical use remains a choice.
Selection is not a judgment about you
The application selects cards from its reference deck and records the orientation and position of each selected card. A one-card reading offers one focus. A multi-card spread gives distinct cards different roles. The program does not choose a supposedly more deserving card for a particular user, and an AI interpretation is not responsible for selecting the underlying cards.
A difficult-looking card is not a warning that disaster is approaching. Similarly, a pleasant card does not remove the need to check a contract, respect a boundary or make a practical plan. Random selection can supply an unfamiliar angle without supplying information about an event that has not occurred.
Work through one concrete question
Consider the question, 'What could help me ask for clearer feedback on my work?' If a card about structure appears in a position concerned with action, a useful response might be to agree on one review criterion. If the same theme appears in a position concerned with obstacles, the question might be whether the current rules are too vague or too rigid. These are possible prompts, not deductions about your workplace.
A reversed orientation offers another angle on the card's theme. It need not mean the exact opposite or something harmful. Compare the wording with your situation, then supply your own example and counterexample. If neither fits, discard the prompt instead of expanding it until every event seems to confirm it.
Close the reading with a boundary
Before drawing, decide what a helpful stopping point would look like: one clearer question, one conversation to prepare, or one reversible action. Drawing repeatedly until a reassuring card appears does not add independent evidence. You can return to the original question later with new observations rather than demanding a different answer from the deck.
Questions about another person's secret feelings are better redirected toward what they have communicated and what you need to ask. A tarot reading cannot establish consent, loyalty or intent. For consequential health, legal or financial matters, the cards are not a substitute for appropriate qualified guidance. You remain free to pause, reject an interpretation or use a different reflective practice.
